Why use a coupled membership?
If your organization offers shared memberships—such as "2 for 1" offers, spouse or partner memberships, or household-based signups—Qomon allows you to link two people to the same membership using the beneficiary feature.
This is ideal for:
Couple or family memberships
Parent/child memberships
Scenarios where one person pays for another
💡This is a specific use-case and may not apply to your organization.
✅ How it works
Qomon lets you add a second contact (beneficiary) to a single membership transaction. Only one payment is recorded, but both contacts are recognized as active members.
To do this correctly, you need to:
Use a paid membership product (e.g. “Couple – Annual”) for the main contact
Use a “Free” membership product for the linked beneficiary
This ensures both contacts have a visible membership on their contact card—while only one of them is tied to the actual payment.

🧾 Steps to add a coupled membership
Add a transaction to the contact who is paying for the membership.
→ This contact is considered the payer and will receive the receipt.During the product selection step, choose the paid membership product that corresponds to a shared membership (e.g. “Couple – Annual”).
Once the product is added, go to the “Beneficiaries” tab.
Click “Add a beneficiary” and select the second contact (e.g. the partner or family member).
Choose the Free membership product for the beneficiary.
Save the transaction.
📍 What happens next?
The membership will appear on both contact cards.
The payer is tied to the payment.
The beneficiary is tagged with a free membership but still recognized as an active member.
Both contacts are counted as members in filters and exports.
💡 Tip: This setup also works for any case where someone pays on behalf of another (like a parent paying for a child).
