Starting September 8th, 2026, Google’s Gmail Verified Sender Program introduces strict deliverability rules for political senders targeting personal gmail accounts.
⚠️ Important: It is your organization's responsibility to register for this program and configure your domain settings. Unregistered or non-compliant senders face poor deliverability, with emails being diverted directly to spam.
Eligibility & Strict Prerequisites
The program is strictly for U.S. entities registered as 527 political organizations with the FEC or a State, Local, or Tribal Election Authority. Your organization qualifies if:
It’s a candidate committee, political party, PAC, or other 527 tax-exempt political organization, and
It’s registered with the FEC, or with a State, Local, or Tribal Election Authority
Non-profits (501c3/c4) and foreign organizations are ineligible.
Steps to take:
Verify with Campaign Verify: Authenticate your committee and domain at Campaign Verify (third-party fees apply).
Authenticate Your Custom Domain: Configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records in your domain's DNS manager. Your sending domain must match an active, public campaign website. Meet Google's Sender Guidelines.
Register with Google Postmaster Tools: Add your domain to Google Postmaster Tools to monitor authentication and spam metrics.
Set up a custom bounce domain so SPF aligns with your sending domain rather than Qomon’s shared domain
Maintain Spam Complaints Below 0.3%: Keep user-reported spam rates strictly below 0.3% (ideally < 0.1%).
Deliverability & Policy Risks
Status | Deliverability Impact |
Not Registered/Invalid Setup | Severe delivery penalties. Emails are far more likely to bypass the primary inbox and land directly in the Spam folder. |
Spam Rate ≥ 0.3% | Google will suspend your Verified status for 7 days or permanently revoke your program benefits. |
Best Practices:
Authenticate Domain DNS: Set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC with your domain registrar before broadcasting through Qomon.
Complete Verifications: Register directly on Campaign Verify and Google Postmaster Tools.
Maintain Clean Lists in Qomon: Target active, opted-in supporters, include clear unsubscribe links, and never import unverified or purchased contact lists into Qomon.
