How to calculate your SMS credit usage

The number and type of characters used for an SMS message will determine the amount of SMS credit used.

  • A standard message contains up to 160 alpha-numeric characters, including some symbols). Messages containing 160 to 319 characters would consume 2 credits, etc.

  • Messages with at least one special character limits an SMS message credit to 70 characters. If sending a message between 70-139 characters with a special character, it would use 2 SMS credits.

⚠ Certain Cyrillic, Arabic and Mandarin characters may also limit your message to 70 characters.
