What is a batch?

A batch is a way to group multiple transactions (like donations or memberships) into a single unit. This is especially useful for organizing offline contributions collected during events, canvassing, or internal processing.

Think of it like creating a “folder” for a set of transactions—making it easier to review totals, double-check data, and reconcile with your accounting system.

📦 When should you use batches?

Use batches when you want to:

  • Group offline donations collected at the same time or location

  • Keep your data organized for internal reviews or audits

  • Track what has or hasn’t been deposited

  • Avoid duplicate entry or confusion when multiple people are logging contributions

💡 Tip: Use a campaign code when adding transactions to a batch—this makes it easier to filter and report on later!

➕ How to create and use a batch

  1. Go to the Transactions section in your Qomon space

  2. Click on “Start a new batch”

  3. Begin adding transactions—each new one will be linked to the open batch

  4. Once done, click “Close batch” (you can reopen it later if needed)

  5. When the funds have been deposited, mark the batch as “Deposited”
