Connecting New/Mode to Qomon
New/Mode's advocacy and mobilization tools can automatically sync your supporters' data — first name, last name, email, address, phone number, and opt-in status — directly into your Qomon account. This guide walks you through connecting the two platforms, from New/Mode to Qomon and back again.
The setup has three parts:
Start the connection from New/Mode
Generate an API key in Qomon
Paste the key into New/Mode to finish linking your account
Step 1: Start the integration from New/Mode
Log in to your New/Mode account.
In the left-hand menu, click Integrations.
On the Integrations page, find the Qomon card and click Connect.
A modal window will open, asking you to link your account with an API Key and an API Subdomain. Keep this window open — you'll come back to it in Step 3.
Step 2: Generate your API key in Qomon
Open a new tab and log in to your Qomon space.
Click your profile in the bottom-left corner, then select Settings.
From the settings menu at the top, click the Integrations & API tab.
Under Generate API keys, click + Add.
Give the key a recognizable name (for example, 'New/Mode integration') then click Generate.
Your new API key will appear in the list. Click the copy icon next to it to copy the key to your clipboard.
⚠️ Important: Keep this key private. Anyone with access to it can connect to your Qomon data.
Step 3: Link your account in New/Mode
Go back to the New/Mode tab from Step 1.
Paste the API key you copied from Qomon into the API Key field.
Choose the correct API Subdomain:
If your organization is based in the US, select incoming-us.
If not, leave the default option, incoming (default), selected.
Click Link my account now.
Step 4: Confirm the connection and map your data
Once linked, you'll be taken to the Qomon integration page within New/Mode, where you can:
Check the Sync status to see how many contacts are syncing.
Set up Data Mapping to match New/Mode fields to the corresponding fields in Qomon.
Use Resume Syncing to start syncing contact data once your mapping is set up, and Pause Syncing if you need to make further changes before applying updates.
Understanding the Data Mapping table
New/Mode pulls in the list of available fields from your Qomon account and lets you choose which New/Mode field should populate which Qomon property. The table has two columns:
New/Mode Data — the field coming from your New/Mode forms and contact records (e.g. Honorific, First name, Last name, City, Street address).
Qomon Property — the corresponding field in Qomon that it will be mapped to (e.g.
salutation (standard),first_name (standard),addresses.city (standard)).
Select any cell in the Qomon Property column to change its mapping using the dropdown, or click Add Row to map an additional field.
The Email address → email mapping is fixed and can't be edited, since email is used to match and de-duplicate contacts between the two systems. Use the trash icon to remove a mapping you don't need.
Default mapping behavior
A few fields are mapped automatically and don't require setup:
Tags: Any tags applied to a contact in New/Mode are synced to the matching tags taxonomy in your Qomon account.
Opt-outs: If a contact opts out on the New/Mode side, that status is currently synced to the
black_listfield in Qomon.
Note: Qomon also offers a more granular consent system as an alternative to black_list, which can track opt-in/opt-out status per communication channel rather than as a single flag. This will be a future update to the integration.
Once your mapping is confirmed and syncing is active, supporter data collected through your New/Mode campaigns will flow automatically into your Qomon contacts!
