How to choose between one or multiple Qomon spaces

Depending on your Qomon subscription, we can create multiple spaces linked together so that you can decentralize your actions and get the most from your local teams.

But, do you really need multiple spaces? Do you need to decentralize? Here are some tips to help you decide:

What is a "Qomon space"?

A Qomon space is an independent entity. It operates with its own members, administrators, its own contact base, its own mapping dashboard and on its own scale.

Each space is independent but, if you have multiple spaces, all your spaces can be accessible with your one account. Only accounts that are part of a space can be accessibile by that individual.

So, should you go with one or multiple spaces?

One space = centralized actions, organization, and location

A single space is relevant if:

  • Your teams are managed and function centrally

  • Your actions don't need local management

  • You don't have (enough) teams to carry-out local actions

  • You want close control over your organization's structure and management

Multiple spaces = decentralized actions & local chapters

Multiple spaces are relevant if:

  • You want to decentralize and empower your local teams with their own tools

  • Your organization and teams are trained locally

  • You want actions and efforts delegated at the local level

Our tips and best practices

  • Only consider your current situation; don't consider your ideal situation

For example, if, ideally, you would like to divide your territory in 20 areas, but at the moment you only have 3 managers, you should start by dividing your territory in 3 (not 20).

Remember - each space will need to be managed by someone so it's important to consider your team's capacity to manage multiple spaces.

  • Choose the right scale: when using multiple spaces, choose the scale of division based on the availability of social-electoral data: a region, few districts, ...

You should define zones that fit your needs!
