How to motivate your community using notifications?

๐Ÿ“ฒ Keeping in touch with your collaborators/volunteers in the field is a real mission!

To help you keep in touch you can use "Push" notifications

๐Ÿ”Š Push Notifications are messages that appears on your mobile phone screen when you are not using the app.

What are the benefits to using this?

โŒ› Real-time communication: You can use it to remind your members of an important event, to let them know a goal has been reached, to congratulate the whole team at once, etc... Less intrusive than an SMS but with a much higher opening rate than the e-mail.

โ€‹

๐ŸƒFast interaction: From the notification, your member can directly open the application. โ€‹

๐Ÿ”† Easy to use: You just need to write your message, no need for a layout nor signature. The message should be short and punchy

When to use it?

You can decide to send your community a message at any time! You can either go to Engage > Communication > Push OR Users & Teams > Notify my Community

Directly edit your message!

Other instances you can send a notification

๐Ÿ“„ Documents: You can decide to notify your entire team that a new document has been added to their mobile application. Read here to learn how to upload materials/documents.

๐Ÿ‘Š About Actions:

You can send a notification to a volunteer that you add to an action. When you edit an action you can "Save and Notify" your volunteers.

No need to worry about sending a reminder, members in the action receive an automatic notification the day before the event!

You can also follow up with uncertain members. By clicking on "Notify attendees" you send a notification to every member who has not specified their attendance!

โš ๏ธ Remember that it all depends on the recipient's mobile settings. If notifications are turned off, they won't receive them โš ๏ธ
