What is a calling action?
The calling action is a way to reach out and canvass your supporters and voters or a way to get to know your constituents by calling them. You can use it to collect donations, run surveys, get-out-the-vote operations, sway public opinion, etc.
In Qomon, the calling action is designed to create targeted peer-to-peer calling.
Just head over to your actions tab or your notifications to see if you've been assigned to any calling actions!
📲 How does this look on your mobile app?
The first screens that you will see in your calling action are:
Action summary: Shows details such as the date, description, and stats. Tap I'm attending to confirm your participation.
Contacts pool: Tap Draw a contact to get randomly assigned a contact to call.
If you cancel before saving, the contact will return to the pool.
You can check your Action Stats and Called contacts at any time.
View the contact’s details: Check the details of the contact you will be calling and tap the 📞 button to start the call.
Record the outcome of your call: Accepted, No answer, Refused, or Other (e.g. call back later, or invalid phone number).
A great tip is to put yourself on speaker (or use headphones) during the call, that way you can easily continue to use the Qomon app during the call 🤳

Once the call is underway, the next steps are:
Fill out the survey: If the contact answers and you’ve obtained consent, you can go through your survey (if one has been set up).
Support level: Record or update the contact’s level of support.
Follow-ups & tasks: Add any follow-up notes, tasks, or reminders for your team.
Click continue: Repeat by drawing your next contact until all calls are done! All updates are saved directly into your organization’s database.
💡 Useful tips
Use shortcuts: At the top of your screen, you’ll find icons that let you jump directly to the "Support level" or "Tasks" sections. This way, you can skip the survey if needed and go straight to updating key information.
Shared numbers: Sometimes more than one contact may have the same phone number. In that case, simply tap the call 📞 button, and select the contact of the person you spoke to in order to record the right outcome and survey.
Review your past calls: You can always check the list of contacts who have already been called by selecting "Called contacts". This is handy if you need to follow up with people who didn't answer or told you to call back later, or to return a contact to the pool if you couldn’t complete the call.
