How to Import Custom Fields into Qomon

You can import a variety of information from your contact files into Qomon. To ensure a smooth import process, it's important to follow the correct format based on the type of field you wish to import!

Importing Different Field Types

Before you begin importing, the new field must already be created in the contact card settings (Learn how to create fields here).

📋 Short Answer:

No specific format is required. Short answers can be imported like any other field.

👆 Single Response:

Create the response options in the contact card settings before importing. The import process cannot create new options.

If an imported value doesn’t match an existing option, the corresponding line in your file will result in an error.

Example: Each contact can only have 1 proposition/answer for the custom field

✅ Checkbox:

Like Single Response fields, you must;

  1. Create the options in the contact card settings before importing.

  2. Each "answer" must have its own column in your import file.

  3. When importing, select the "Question" column multiple times to match the number of "answer" columns.

Example: Unlike a single response, each contact can have multiple propositions/answers for the custom field

🔢 Numeric:

Ensure that only numerical characters are present in the values you're importing. No specific format is required.

🗓️ Date:

Standard Formats:

You can import dates in the following formats:

  • DD/MM/YYYY

  • MM/DD/YYYY

  • YYYY/DD/MM

  • YYYY/MM/DD

Accepted Separators: "/", ".", "-", " "

⭐ Special Formats:

Qomon also supports various date and time formats such as:

  • Mon Jan 2 15:04:05 2006

  • Mon Jan 2 15:04:05 MST 2006

  • 02 Jan 06 15:04 -0700

  • Mon, 02 Jan 2006 15:04:05 MST

  • 2006-01-02T15:04:05Z07:00

And many more... Ensure your dates are formatted correctly before importing.
