🏘️ What is a canvassing action?
If you haven’t already, check out our article Canvassing action on your mobile app for a detailed overview of how canvassing works and what it looks like once you’re assigned an action.
Once you’ve got the basics down, dive into these best practices and tips to maximize your success in the field.
🏆 Best Practices
Set your preferred canvassing mode: Read this article to decide if List or Map view is for you, and how to set your preferred mode as the default.
Use Qomon as Your Digital Notebook: Record all the information you gather during an interaction directly in the app.
Survey Flexibility: Skip one or more questions or go straight to the contact card by selecting "See Questions" during a survey.
Create New Contact Files: If a person does not exist at the listed address, you can add their details by tapping the ✚ in the top right corner. Some fields, such as street name and city, will auto-fill.
Be Specific: Collect detailed information to improve future communication and make it more personalized.
✨ Tips:
Here are a few shortcuts available on the Qomon app in List view to "Complete an address" (read here for more information on list vs. map view):
Just slide your finger on the street or number you want to mark “Completed."
This allows you to take out or check off certain addresses that have been visited or are not accessible.
It could be used for a completely blocked building, or a partially finished street that your campaign does not wish to fully complete.
⚠️ Important Note: If you create a new canvassing action, previously "completed" streets or addresses will reappear as available for selection.
