Consent Records

Every consent action collected through forms, petitions, and event registrations is stored in the contact record.

Depending on your compliance mode, Qomon stores:

  • Date and time of consent

  • Accepted purposes

  • Accepted channels

  • Consent source

  • Imported consent history

This provides a complete audit trail for your organization.

*Consent collection via online forms depends on the compliance mode selected.

Essential Compliance

In Essential Compliance, consent is collected at the channel level directly on the form.

For each channel (Email, SMS, Phone, etc.), in the Compliance Center, you can configure whether the checkbox is:

  • Mandatory

  • Optional

  • Disabled

These settings can also be customized individually per form.

💡 Reminder: If you choose to have consent checkboxes as "Optional", a contact submitted that did not check the box will have its consent marked as "refused" in your database.

Supporters are informed through:

  • Your privacy policy

  • Your displayed notice

  • Channel-specific consent wording

This provides a streamlined consent experience while covering core compliance requirements.

Advanced Compliance

In Advanced Compliance, supporters can manage consent by purpose.

When clicking Manage my preferences, supporters see:

  • Each purpose is listed individually

  • A description explaining the purpose

  • Separate consent checkboxes

Supporters can:

  • Accept some purposes

  • Decline others

This gives them granular control over how they are contacted. For example, a supporter may accept event communications or decline fundraising communications.

This structure is designed for stricter regulatory environments such as GDPR 2024/900.

When clicking on "Manage my preferences" on a form, supporters see each purpose listed individually with a checkbox and description. They can consent to some purposes and decline others, giving them control over how they're contacted.

Customizing consent collection

Depending on your configuration, you can customize:

  • Which channels appear

  • Whether checkboxes are mandatory or optional

  • Consent wording

  • Which purposes are displayed

  • Default pre-selected purposes

By default, these settings inherit from your organization’s Consent Center configuration, but they can be adjusted at the form level when needed.

Unsubscribe experience

Qomon automatically provides unsubscribe options depending on your compliance mode.

Essential Compliance

Supporters can unsubscribe from all communications through a single unsubscribe link.

Advanced Compliance

Supporters can:

  • Unsubscribe from all communications

  • Unsubscribe from a specific purpose or communication channel

This helps maintain compliant and purpose-specific consent records.
