What is "Zapier"?

Zapier is an "intermediate" application aimed to connect several applications together and create automations.

As you can see Zapier works as a kind of "pipe" that connects applications to each other and sends information from one application to the others.

How does it work?

A little glossary:

Zapier is the "link" that connects hundreds of applications.

  • Zaps are automations that connect applications to each other so that they interact with each other.

  • A "trigger" is an "event". It defines the event required to launch an automation. (example: receiving an email, subscribing to a newsletter, filling in a questionnaire etc.)

  • An "action" is the outcome that completes the zap. It is what happens once the "trigger" is triggered. (Example: Send email attachments to a dropbox) These actions are done automatically so you can concentrate on essential tasks.

How to use?

Simply head over to your Space Settings > Connect & API > Use Zapier > and then search for the app you would like to connect.

Once you have selected, one or more options will show up for you, this is an example of what it will look like if you have selected Typeform:

You can select the option that best suits you, and you will be taken to another screen and given instructions.

Available Triggers on Zapier:

1) Contact creation from any source (mobile app, petition, form, manually on web app).

You can limit the trigger to the following:

  • Contact creation ONLY from a petition.

  • Contact creation ONLY from an online form.

  • Contact creation ONLY from the mobile application.

2) Contact updates from any source (fieldwork, petition, form, manual addition).

You can limit the trigger to the following:

  • Contact update ONLY from a petition.

  • Contact update ONLY from an online form.

3) Contact consent updates (Privacy Laws & GDPR).

4) Wrong address declaration

(You can declare that a contact no longer resides at the provided address during a canvassing action on Qomon.)

Available Actions on Zapier

1) Contact update or creation

If the contact's email address already exists in your database, new information will be added. If the email address does not exist or is not provided, a new contact will be created.

2) Adding an interaction to a contact

Adding a note, for example.
