Imported contacts explained

Once your import is complete, you’ll receive a summary of the processed contacts.

There are three types of outcomes during an import:

  1. New Imported Contacts
These are entirely new contacts added to your Qomon database.

  2. Updated Existing Contacts
When the system identifies a contact in your import file that is identical to an existing Qomon contact, it updates the contact with the new properties from your import.

⚠️ Important: This process replaces the old data in the existing contact with the data from the imported contact.

  3. Duplicate Imported Contacts
If the system detects a contact in your import file that resembles an existing contact but isn’t identical, it flags it as a duplicate.
