👋 Welcome to Qomon!

The first step to kickstart your mobilization is uploading your contact file. This ensures your team can start connecting with people and organizing effectively.

💻 Step 1: Prepare your contact file

Before uploading, ensure your contact file is properly formatted. To simplify the process, we’ve provided ready-to-use templates (make modifications as needed!):

📂 Templates for download:

Your file should include essential information like:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Full address (split into house number, street, city, and zip/postal code etc.)

What if I don’t have a file?

No problem! If you don’t have a contact file ready, Qomon offers tools to help you build your contact list from scratch.

📥 Step 2: Save and upload

Once your file is cleaned and prepped, save and download your file to your computer:

  1. Go to the Imports/Exports tab on the Qomon web platform.

  2. Click on '+ Import a File'.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to import your file:

    • Upload your file.

    • Match the columns in your file to the fields in Qomon.

    • Validate and complete the import.

🔍 Step 3: Common mistakes to avoid

Here are the most common errors users encounter during contact imports—and how to avoid them:

  1. Missing city information: Always include the city field. It’s required for your canvassing actions!

  2. Combining house number and street: Ensure these are in separate columns, e.g., the address '123 Main Street' should have 123 in one column and Main Street in another.

  3. Importing custom fields too early: If you want to include custom fields, configure them in your Space Settings before importing. Learn more here: Import custom fields.

  4. Case sensitivity: While uploading support levels or custom fields, be sure that the information in your file matches the information in Qomon! Be sure that spacing, capitalization, and spelling is the same.
